Chamber of Deputies approves 500 property contracts

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic’s Chamber of Deputies approved a batch of 500 state property sale contracts on Tuesday, marking the tenth group ratified under a streamlined process aimed at resolving long-standing property title issues. According to Tobías Crespo, head of the Permanent Committee on Contracts, the approved agreements include 424 apartment sales, 48 houses, and one plot of land under 1,000 square meters.
Speaker Alfredo Pacheco emphasized the importance of formalizing ownership for individuals who bought state-owned properties decades ago but never received legal titles. He encouraged lawmakers to share this progress with constituents benefiting from the contracts.
