FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas men's basketball forward Trevon Brazile, who entered the NCAA transfer portal Wednesday, was invited to the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. Brazile announced his intention to enter the draft April 8.

Most mock drafts have Brazile being selected in the second round.

The combine takes place May 13-19 in Chicago.

This marks the fourth consecutive year in which a Razorback has been invited. Anthony Black, Nick Smith, Jordan Walsh and Ricky Council were invited in 2023, Jaylin Williams was invited in 2022 and Moses Moody was invited in 2021.

In 2023, Black was selected with the sixth overall pick by the Orlando Magic, Smith was taken 27th by the Charlotte Hornets and Walsh was taken 38th by the Boston Celtics. Council was not drafted but signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Williams was selected with the 34th overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2022. Moody was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 14th overall pick in 2021.

ESPN originally reported that Brazile was forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility to pursue his NBA career, but it appears that he is maintaining that eligibility with his portal entry. Brazile announced he was entering the draft following the news of former coach Eric Musselman's departure for Southern Cal and the hiring of new coach John Calipari.

The 6-10 redshirt sophomore, who started his career at Missouri before transferring to Arkansas, averaged 8.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and over a block per game this season. He missed seven SEC games with knee soreness, though it is not known whether the pain was in the same knee in which he tore his anterior cruciate ligament last season.

Brazile's has shown his professional potential since he was a freshman at Missouri. He has NBA-level size and length and is capable on both ends of the floor. Some believe consistency issues throughout his Razorback career might have hurt his draft stock.

The NBA Draft begins June 26 with the first round, with the second round taking place June 27.
