Bahamas' murder count rises as gun violence claims another victim

The Bahamas’ murder toll climbed to 43 last evening following a shooting in Ridgeland Park, Nassau.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force reported the victim, a 36-year-old man, was walking on Antol Avenue when a car pulled alongside him and a passenger exited and began shooting.

Police said the man was shot in the upper torso and he managed to run to a nearby business establishment where he died.

Police are appealing to anyone, who may have additional information that can assist with their investigation, to contact 911, 919, the Criminal Investigations Department at 502-9991/2/3, or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477).
