Russian-Tuned 2016 Porsche 911 Facelift Has GT3 RS-like Fenders, GT2-like Bumper

Nowadays, the brawl involving automakers and tuners is stronger than ever, with carmakers working hard to reconquer a part of the land that had been captured by aftermarket developers.

While the most basic example of this has to do with LED daytime running lights having migrated from the tuning realm to the list of standard features over the last five years or so, a more elaborate situation of this kind can be highlighted by observing the Porsche 911 line-up.

Zuffenhausen designers always know how to spice-up the Neunelfer's understated looks, with GT division machines being the best example of this. Nevertheless, tuners are starting to mimic Porsche's tactics.

Case in point with the Russian tuning kit seen here, which is destined for the 991.2 911 facelift. Coming from developer Singer Design and referred to as the facelifted incarnation of the Stinger GTR 911 package, the kit shows more than one Porsche styling-inspired move.

The devil is in the details of this Porsche

Let's take the front fenders, with their air extractors, for instance. If these don't spell GT3 RS, nothing will. A more subtle adventure of this kind comes from the rear apron, whose sides mix 911 GT2 (997) and GT2 RS design inspiration.

And while these details may only matter to connoisseurs, the big picture sees the Neunelfer mixing an overly White body with various visible carbon fiber details. The strong contrast seen here obviously turns the car into an attention magnet, which is exactly the effect desired by the tuner's clientele.

Since the tuner has teamed up with US wheel developer Advance One Wheels a few years ago, this rear-engined coupe uses ADV.1 rollers.

What we have here is just an elaborated preview, with the Porsche 911 Stinger GTR Mk II set to make its debut at the Moscow International Auto Show, which is set to open its gates on August 24.
